What a player!!! Congratulations Joey taking win #4 in the Fabulous Florida Tour! On October 2-3 in Ocala, FL, Joey hung on through a ‘sudden death’ playoff to capture yet another 1st place finish at Greenway Park in The Silver Springs Shootout.
Disc golf players and fans alike need to note this up-and-comer: Joey is new to the sport and he’s a natural. He just started playing Disc Golf in spring 2010 and is taking the Amateur Class by storm! He’s so good that the PDGA demanded he move from the Recreational Division to the Intermediate Division within the Amateur Class after only 5 tournaments! Not bad considering he’s only been playing for a few months! He joined the Fabulous Florida Tour after it was underway. His first competition was at the 12th stop in the tour and since then he’s racked up amazing stats-one 2nd place and four 1st place finishes!
Yep, he’s headed for greatness in the Disc Golf world! The Underground Disc Golf Club is honored to sponsor this gifted freshman Disc Golfer! Joey Minotti continues to rack up the wins in the Amateur Division of the 2010 Fabulous Florida Tour. Joey has only been playing competitively for a few months and it is amazing that he’s developed into such a top talent so early in his Disc Golf career!
On September 4th at the Labor Day Open held at Floral Park in Floral City, FL he captured 1st place and took home another top trophy. The Labor Day Luau was the 14th stop on the Fabulous Florida Tour.
Over the September 18-19 weekend, The 1st Annual Ed Aviles Memorial Tournament was held at F. Burton Park and Wickham Park in Melbourne, FL. This tournament was the 15th stop of the Fabulous Florida Tour. Once again Joey Minotti proves that he’s a true talent in the Disc Golf world by winning the Men’s Amateur Division again!.
That’s 3 consecutive 1st place finishes for Joey in a row. There’s no doubt that this newcomer is a player and the competition is taking notice!
UDGC PLAYERS WIN AGAIN!!
On July 10-11 at the Daytona Open, UDGC players, Joey Minotti and Nick Hansen finished 1st and 2nd respectively in the Recreational Mens’ Division and Leda Hansen took 1st place in the Recreational Womens’ Division!
The tournament was held at Tuscawilla Park in Daytona Beach, FL.
The Daytona Open is the 13th stop of the 2010 Fabulous Florida Tour.
Joey captured 1st place after coming from behind in the second round and finished with an unbeatable tee shot at the 18th hole! Nick placed 3rd overall after a hard fought 2 days of play! Leda smoked the competition with a HUGE lead and well deserved 1st place win in her first tournament ever!
Nick and Joey also captured 1st and 2nd on June 12 – 13 at the Tallahassee Open. Nick captured 1st place and Joey tied for 2nd.
